Aeon Movie Wall YAMJ Overscan Tool v2.9.1024
The biggest issue with using full screen-height posters is that TV overscan will most likely crop off the left, top, and bottom sides of the poster. With everyone's TV being different and the NMT's lack of overscan compensation, it makes it difficult to set exact dimensions.
This tool will help you find the values you should use to compensate for your TV's overscan.
When you start, you'll see a screen very similar to a movie's detail screen in Aeon Movie Wall YAMJ. On the left side will be a GRAY placeholder for the poster. On the right side will be the dimensions to use. Admittedly, this will NOT work for some of you -- again, because everyone's TV is different. Make sure that if your TV has overscan control, set it to the normal setting. When you start, if you see a RED border above, below, and to the left of the GRAY placeholder, then you're in good shape.
Press the UP ARROW until you NO LONGER see a red border ABOVE AND BELOW the gray poster. The poster will naturally increase in width -- THAT'S OK.
Once you no longer see the red border above and below the gray poster, start pressing the RIGHT ARROW. This will reveal a RED border on the left. Keep pressing the RIGHT ARROW, and you'll see the poster begin to move left. Keep pressing it until the RED border disappears (I know using the right arrow is counter-intuitive).
Once you see NO RED borders, then copy the values on the right side of the screen. For some TVs, especially the older and/or cheaper ones, a particular position of a pixel today might not be there tomorrow, and because this Tool isn't 100% accurate, I would add at least 3 pixels to all values before you plug them into the skin.
